About Underground Media Network

Welcome to the Underground Media Network— a bold, independent platform where investigative journalism meets resistance.

We don’t do fluff. We don’t sanitise truth. We exist to challenge the institutions that abuse power, protect abusers, and silence the vulnerable. Our mission is clear: expose the facts, platform the unheard, and confront corruption with clarity and courage.

Founded by freelance investigative journalist Landon Ashton Versace Germanotta-Mills, Underground Media Network is not just another publication. It’s a survivor-led, trauma-informed, and legally aware investigative collective built from the ground up by and for those who know the cost of silence. Our work is grounded in accountability, transparency, and radical empathy.

What We Do

We specialise in stories the mainstream won’t touch — stories too dangerous, too messy, or too politically inconvenient for conventional newsrooms. We expose:

  • Police corruption and misconduct

  • Institutional abuse in healthcare, education, justice, and out-of-home care

  • Governmental and bureaucratic cover-ups

  • Corporate exploitation and public interest violations

Our reporting combines:

  • Legal rigor: informed by current Australian law and case precedent

  • Cultural respect: especially in coverage involving Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, which we approach with decolonising intent and community consultation

  • Survivor-centred ethics: we do not retraumatise, sensationalise, or silence

Every investigation is built on verified documentation, testimony, and expert review. Whether we’re uncovering corruption in regional police forces or exposing failures in child protection systems, our stories are built to stand scrutiny — in the media, in the courts, and in the streets.

Who We Amplify

Underground Media Network exists to platform the people who’ve been ignored, erased, or targeted:

  • Whistleblowers who risk everything to expose wrongdoing

  • Survivors of abuse, assault, state violence, and systemic neglect

  • Community advocates pushing for justice and policy change

We don’t just report on injustice — we help build networks of resistance, accountability, and healing.

Why It Matters

Mainstream media outlets are increasingly constrained — by political pressure, commercial interests, and institutional risk aversion. At Underground Media Network, we have no corporate backers, no political strings, and no editorial compromises.

What we do is risky, unpopular, and sometimes legally precarious — but it’s necessary.

Our investigations have contributed to:

  • Public inquiries and legal reviews

  • Institutional resignations

  • Community-led campaigns and reforms

And we’re just getting started.
